We congratulate all the parents and those we consider our parents.<\/p>\n<p>(Song)<\/p>\n<p>On this day we want to congratulate Father God, the one who thought of us from eternity as children. He who created us in the womb in his image and likeness; the one who gave us the beautiful family we have; the one who made us his children in baptism; the one who keeps our hearts beating since our mission in this life has not ended; the one who forgives us; the one who accompanies us in joys and sorrows; the one who awaits us in the home of heaven.<\/p>\n<p>In the gospel we find a total and absolute trust of Jesus in God the Father. It is significant to note that, in all prayers, Jesus addresses God as Father. Jesus used to call God \u201cAbba\u201d and this made such an impression that the first Christians repeated this word in Aramaic, just as Jesus pronounced it: \u201cAbba.\u201d The Letter to the Romans tells us this, chapter 8, verses 14 and 15.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Certainly no one in the early Christian community would have dared to call God that if Jesus had not done so.<\/p>\n<p>When any of you go to Jerusalem, you will see a big man with a child holding his hand and this child will say: <em>Abba<\/em>, dad. <em>Abba<\/em> is the familiar term that children used to call their father. Each one remembers how he says or said to his father. That same word can serve us to address God the Father as Jesus did. That denotes full security, full certainty that He is our Father and will never leave us abandoned.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus teaches us to pray, to address God with the best prayer there is. The gospel according to Saint Matthew tells us this, chapter 6, verses 9 to 15.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>(Song)<\/p>\n<p>We pray to our Daddy God for the prayer that Christ taught us.<\/p>\n<p><em>Our Father, giver of protective love and not mine alone, <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>but of all, the best and the worst, the pleasant and unpleasant.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>You are in heaven, yes heaven is your place, wherever you are, <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>No matter how difficult it may seem, heaven could be there, you and I.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Hallowed be your Name, may we know how to honor you in our lives<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>and may we not forget to praise you and thank you, in addition to asking you.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Your Kingdom come, your Kingdom is not dominion and power<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>but love, justice, peace, which we need so much in our personal and social lives.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven,<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Your will will always be the best for us, even if we do not understand it at the moment.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Help us to pray to know how to ask You for Your will to be done <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>and not for You to make ours.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Give us today our daily bread, <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Give us confidence to expect from you what is necessary for today<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>knowing that tomorrow will be another day in which Your providence will also help us.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Forgive us, yes, for everything we know and for everything we don&#8217;t want to know,<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>but please, don&#8217;t do it like us who don&#8217;t know how to forgive.
