That is why he followed the prophet, the one who spoke instead of God and did not care about time as long as he received the peace he sought. As it was getting late, the disciples of yesterday and today say: <em>It is too late, say goodbye to the crowd that is falling behind you and let them leave.<\/em> But Jesus replies: <em>You give them something to eat.<\/em> And with the 5 loaves and 2 fish that a boy gave, Jesus looked up to heaven, pronounced the blessing, broke the loaves, gave them to the disciples and they gave them to about five thousand men, not counting women and children. .<\/p>\n<p>We thank God for our grandmothers who shared their plates of food with sick and needy neighbors and when many times they were left trembling with nothing, they felt the joy of giving, which is better than receiving and experienced the multiplication of what was given that God returned through several people. Perhaps our elders with their generosity have already fed more than five thousand people and since God cannot be beaten in generosity, He continues to give back multiply so that everything reaches another five thousand people and more.<\/p>\n<p>We thank God for those people who search, cook, and distribute food in our churches. Their sweaty and complicated work, God does not forget and the joy of perseverance gives a lot of happiness to those who serve and are served. And in the final moment of our lives, hear: Come, blessed of my Father, receive as an inheritance the Kingdom that was prepared for you from the beginning of the world, because I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, and every time you did it with the smallest, the oldest, the most needy, the most unbearable, the dirtiest, the poorly dressed; you did it with me.<\/p>\n<p>(Song)<\/p>\n<p><em>One afternoon, V\u00edctor Manuel approached his mother Dacyamila, who was preparing dinner in the kitchen, and V\u00edctor Manuel gave her a sheet of paper on which he had written something&#8230; After drying her hands on her apron, she read what it said:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For removing weeds from the garden \u2013 10 pesos<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For cleaning my room \u2013 5 pesos<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For purchasing errands from the notebook \u2013 3 pesos<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For taking care of my little sister while you took my grandmother to the polyclinic \u2013 10 pesos<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For taking out the trash \u2013 5 pesos<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For sweeping the patio \u2013 7 pesos<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Total to pay me today \u2013 40 pesos<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Dacyamila looked at the child intently. V\u00edctor Manuel waited, full of expectation, waiting for me to give him the amount of money that he thought he deserved. Then Dacyamila took the pencil and on the back of the same page he wrote:<\/p>\n<p><em>For carrying you for nine months in my belly: Nothing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For so many sleepless nights, healing you and praying for you: Nothing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For the problems and crying you have caused me: Nothing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For the fear and worries that await me: Nothing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For the meals, clothes and toys of your entire life: Nothing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>For wiping your nose too many times: Nothing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Total cost of my love: Nothing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Our mother, our father, our grandparents, family and friends have given us a lot. God has given us a lot: The Church has given us a lot.<\/p>\n<p>Let us also give away without expecting anything in return. We will live as what we are: children of God and brothers of all.<\/p>\n<p>(Song)<\/p>\n<p>In the multiplication of the loaves, Jesus did the same as at the Last Supper: he took the loaves, looked up to heaven, pronounced the blessing, broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus gives us the bread of life, which is his Body and Blood, spiritual food of eternal life.<\/p>\n<p>What faith is that of so many Catholics who participate in mass on the 52 Sundays of the year!<\/p>\n<p>What faith is that of so many Catholics who from miles away, on foot, by bicycle, by bus, by bottle, are at Sunday Mass!<\/p>\n<p>What faith is that of those who, under lightning, thunder, and torrential rain, arrive to Sunday mass soaked and with the soles of their shoes peeling off!<\/p>\n<p>Let us admire, congratulate and imitate!<\/p>\n<p>As he who eats this bread of Christ will live forever, let us ask the Holy Spirit for the light to captivate the husband, wife, children, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, so that just as we have lunch together on Sunday, we can do the same by receiving communion. all together, on the Lord&#8217;s Day in our community and then the whole family at the banquet in the house of heaven.<\/p>\n<p>(Song)<\/p>\n<p>Next Tuesday, August 4, we will celebrate the memory of San Juan Mar\u00eda Vianney, patron of parish priests.<\/p>\n<p>That day, in the Metropolitan Cathedral of Havana, at 10 am, we will bless the oil paintings of the sick and the catechumens and we will consecrate the scented chrism oil.<\/p>\n<p>We priests will renew the promises of the day of priestly ordination and we will concelebrate the mass together.<\/p>\n<p>Send congratulations to the priests who have marked your life in one way or another.
