And they set out, because to find what we want we have to set out and that star led them to a newborn child whom they wanted to worship as King, as God and as a child.<\/p>\n<p>The teachers of the law confirmed that the child born in Bethlehem, prince of peace, was the one expected by the people of God and by all the peoples of the earth.<\/p>\n<p>They prostrated themselves and offered gold to the King of love, incense to the messenger of God, and myrrh, an aromatic substance to anoint the child of human nature.<\/p>\n<p>We too must discover the star of our lives that guides us to peace, we also want to see the light that illuminates our lives, our sufferings, our projects. And we want to get on the road. That light, that star leads us to Christ, prince of peace, King of love, Son of God who shares our life with its sorrows and pains.<\/p>\n<p>We want to offer you the gold of our love; the incense of our worship and prayer; myrrh to refresh the anguish and pain of the people that God Himself carries, comforts and encourages.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s party is called Epiphany, a Greek word, which means: Manifestation of God to all the peoples of the earth. God wants to be known by all the people who still do not know that He loves them and each of us are in charge of announcing to them that the light that moves us to happiness; that the main star of our lives; He is the child born in Bethlehem, he is the consoler of our sorrows, he is the hope of a better family and people.<\/p>\n<p>During these days of Christmas and especially on Three Kings Day, we give our children and grandchildren many beautiful things, a sign of our love for them. We also want to give the gold of our love, the incense of faith that makes us more brothers, the myrrh of perfume that makes our life pleasant when we walk together.<\/p>\n<p>Let us give generosity, for God returns it multiply.<\/p>\n<p>An ancient Indian legend tells us: \u00abOnce upon a time there was a man who went to the baker every day to buy, without fail, five loaves.<\/p>\n<p>One day the baker, full of curiosity, asked him:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;<\/em><em>&#8220;Why do you buy five loaves of bread every day?&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The man, without even thinking for a second, said:<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;I buy five loaves because one is for me:<\/em> <em>two are to be borrowed; the other two are to pay my debts!&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;<\/em><em>&#8220;I don&#8217;t understand!&#8221;<\/em> objected the baker: <em>&#8220;Could you explain better?&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;It&#8217;s very simple: I eat one loaf; two are for my children<\/em> <em>who, one day<\/em>, <em>will have to give them back to me; two are for my old parents<\/em><em>, in restitution for what they have given me in the past.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Legend has it that there was a fourth Wizard who arrived late to the appointment with the other three to help an old man.<\/p>\n<p>He traveled on his own to Bethlehem, but the Holy Family had already left for Egypt, where he tried to look for them to no avail, as he always got involved helping someone in need.<\/p>\n<p>Having returned to his place of origin, the three wise men told him everything about the baby Jesus, and in his heart he promised to find him.<\/p>\n<p>When after 30 years he heard what was said about the prophet of Galilee, he wanted to see him. Unfortunately, he never arrived at the right time, as he always had to attend to the miseries he encountered along the way.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, as an old man, he managed to see Jesus going up to Golgotha \u200b\u200band said to him: \u00abAll my life I have looked for you without being able to find you. Jesus answered from the cross: &#8220;You didn&#8217;t need to look for me, because you have always been by my side.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>(Song)<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow, January 8, the Church celebrates the Baptism of the Lord Jesus. We listen to the biblical text that is to be read in all the Catholic churches of the world.<\/p>\n<p>(Gospel according to Saint Mark, chapter 1, verses 7 to 11).<\/p>\n<p>The Lord Jesus comes to be baptized and wants his holy body to be washed in the waters of the Jordan. Someone will perhaps say: &#8220;If he was a saint, why did he want to be baptized?&#8221; Listen, then, to the following: Christ is baptized not to be sanctified by the waters, but so that the waters are sanctified by him, and to purify them with the contact of his body. More than a consecration of Christ, it is a consecration of the matter of baptism (Saint Maximus of Turin, <em>Sermon on the Epiphany).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Through the sacrament of baptism you became a temple of the Holy Spirit: do not drive away such a chosen guest with sinful actions, do not give yourself over again as a slave to the devil, for you have cost the Blood of Christ, who redeemed you according to his mercy and will judge you. according to the truth (Saint Leo the Great, <em>Sermon 1 on the Nativity of the Lord).<\/em><\/p>\n<p>(Song)<\/p>\n<p>Just as we celebrate our birth or natural life every year, let us also celebrate the day of our baptism, birth into the spiritual life of children of God, members of the Church, brothers of all.<\/p>\n<p>The theologian Karl Rahner tells us about baptism:<\/p>\n<p>Infinite God, the first and last experience of my life is You. Yes, precisely You, not your idea or the name that we have given you. You, in fact, have come upon me in the water and in the Spirit of baptism. So, I haven&#8217;t thought or harbored anything about you. Then my intelligence, with its sagacious insight, has remained silent. Then You have made Yourself, without consulting me, the destiny of my heart. It was You who took me, not me who understood You. You have transformed my being, from its last two roots. You have made me a participant in your being and your life, you have given yourself to me, you have given yourself to me and not a simple unclear and remote information about you in human words. This is why I cannot forget you, because you have made yourself the very center of my being. Your word and your wisdom are in me, not because I know you in my concepts, but because You recognize me as a son and friend.<\/p>\n<p>Grow within me, shine more and more in me, enlighten me, eternal light! Only You must illuminate me, only You speak to me. Everything else I know or have learned must only lead to You. Amen.<\/p>\n<p><em>Let us venerate our Savior, adored today by the wise men, and let us acclaim him with joy singing:<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Light of light, illuminate our day<\/em><\/strong><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>O Christ, manifested in the flesh: sanctify us by the word of God and prayer.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Light of light, illuminate our day<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>O Christ, justified in the spirit: free us from all error.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Light of light, illuminate our day<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Oh Christ, contemplated by the angels: give us to taste now on earth the goods of your kingdom of love.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Light of light, illuminate our day<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>O Christ, preached to all peoples: illuminate the hearts of all men with the light of your Spirit.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Light of light, illuminate our day<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Oh Christ, present in the hearts of all: renew the faith of all who believe in you.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Light of light, illuminate our day<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Oh Christ, taken to glory: kindle in us the desire to be in the house of heaven.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Light of light, illuminate our day.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Our father\u2026 <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>God save you Maria&#8230;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We bow our heads to receive the blessing. At the end of each invocation we pray Amen.<\/p>\n<p>-The God who called us from darkness to his admirable light, pour out his blessings abundantly on you and strengthen your hearts in Faith, Hope and Charity. Amen.<\/p>\n<p>And He, to all of you, faithful followers of Christ, manifested today to the world as light in the darkness, make you witnesses of the truth before your brothers. Amen.<\/p>\n<p>And so, when our pilgrimage through this world ends, we come to meet Christ, light of light, whom the wise men guided by the star contemplated with immense joy. Amen.<\/p>\n<p>And the blessing of Almighty God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, descend upon you, upon your families, upon those who have made this broadcast possible.
