Advent retreat of the Havana clergy

As part of the “spiritual pilgrimage” towards the celebration of Christmas, on the morning of Tuesday, December 10, the following took place at the St. John Mary Vianney Priests’ House St. John Mary Vianney Priestly House the Advent Retreat for the clergy of Havana, this time under the direction of the recently ordained priest Michael Martinez, sj.

During this time of special encounter with God, Father Preacher invited the priests present to contemplate the main figures of Advent and Christmas; the humility of Christ in becoming incarnate, of the Virgin Mary, in our human nature; and the profound supplication of God’s holy people asking for the coming of the Redeemer Messiah.

This space was an opportunity for the pastors to take a break from the busyness and worries of everyday life. A quality spiritual time to revive our interior and ministerial life and to intercede for all those who have been entrusted to us.

The Advent retreat concluded with a time for announcements and fraternal sharing.
