To the Catholic faithful and to all the Cuban people:
..” The visit of Pope John Paul II to Cuba has constituted an evident step of Jesus Christ through our history, for this reason we wish to express the deep feelings and reflections that it has aroused in all of us, at the same time as the future projection that it contains. Above all we want to give glory, praise and thanksgiving to God for this wonderful gift that he has given to the life of our people and to the history of our Country. With the Psalmist we can repeat: “The Lord has been great for us and we are happy.”
