(GOSPEL)

We thank God for so many times that dad, mom and children have lived as Saint Joseph, the Virgin Mary and the baby Jesus lived, in joys and sorrows. Thank you God the Father for dad and mom, who made my home on solid rock that did not sink when the winds picked up. Thank you dad and mom, who filled the house with offspring, forgetting about their rest, sacrificing their lives. Thank you for dad and mom who taught us to love by loving, who illuminated, demanded and gratified. Thank you God the Father, for the brothers with whom we learned to play and share, sometimes to cry, with whom we became friends forever. Thank you, God the Father, for grandparents, kindness personified, all gifts and understanding, all forgiveness and patience, extreme industriousness, gratuitousness. Thank you for the other family members, the uncles, so endearing and the cousins so pleasant and fun, who enriched the games, the parties, the celebrations. Thank you God the Father, for that godfather and godmother who they loved and gave so much, so good, so great and so humble, whom we have already internally canonized. Thank you God the Father, for all those who enter and leave the house, who oxygenate and enlarge it. For all those who have helped us grow in faith, culture, and joy. Thank you all family, thank you all families, thank you, my God, for my family.

Blessed are the parents:

A dad is the man we want to be with mom, because he is the man of the house, the one who instills character and unity in the family, the one who solves the most difficult problems, the one that mom needs so much to feel safe and the children to feel protected. A dad is the one who seemed crazy the day he was waiting for our birth at the door of the maternity hospital, the one who bribed the doorman because he couldn’t resist the desire to meet us and didn’t have the patience to wait until the time of the visit. A dad is that one who wondered how with both hands he could hold this little rag doll, which didn’t stop moving its feet and little body. Hey, but he looks just like him! A dad is the one who learns to change diapers after thousands of failed attempts, always putting the tip of the safety pin out, the one who when he has to heat the baby’s milk always has to cool it and then heat it again. It is not easy to adjust to the temperature that the child’s taste requires. A dad is someone who heard the songs of angels when his son uttered the word dad for the first time. He is the one who taught us to read, to fasten our shoelaces, the one who had a fixation with the heavy table of 7, who did not leave us alone until he confirmed that we knew it, the one who let us beat the balls, the one who He made the first kite, the one that cured our wrist, with which we learned to say strike, with which our little sister filled his head with little curlicues and buckles and then he understood why everyone looked at him in such a strange way in the bread line, until she remembered the exotic hairstyle that her little daughter had done for her a few minutes before. A dad is a model of life, he is the good advice, the precise word, the silence and the knowing smile when we have done something that we do not want mom to know, he is the one who lets us play with mud and throw water on ourselves so that he has to help us clean and collect. A dad is the one whose eyes water and his heart tightens when we get sick and almost no one notices his anguish; It is that of virile tenderness, whose calloused hands can offer the warmest caresses and the purest arm, it is the one who, when my little brother broke his head, and Mom wanted to have a fit, said with authority and aplomb, that there was no Nothing happened, but his legs became weak and he didn’t have the courage to watch his dwarf prince’s wound being stitched. A dad is our friend, but also our enemy, especially when mom threatens us with that “let your father come”, he is relentless and his order is to get up early, go to school, go to this review that We don’t like it, getting good grades, respecting mom and loving our brother. A dad is the best and most noble man in the world and whom we love very much, but with whom we are never affectionate and we very rarely tell him how much we love him and wish he were there. A dad is the one we need all our lives because his presence gives us security, peace and confidence, because he is the book of life, to which we can turn when we are in trouble, the one who always forgets our debts and guarantees us bread. every day. Thank you dad for your love, because you are as necessary as mom, for all the hours of your life that you have given us, for your smile, for your conscious or unconscious presence in all the happy moments and in the difficult ones, because your example encouraged us to want to be like you. Thank you Father God for the father you gave us. You, who made him a father in your image and likeness, fill him with your love.

Blessed are the mothers of our family:

A mother, that gift from God, the most beautiful in the world, in the contest where we are a jury, there are no princesses that can beat her because she is the prettiest and the best. A mother is the first smile, the first caress, the safe refuge, the punctual meal, the first prayer, she is the caress of God. A mother is the first lesson, the sweetest kiss, the first gesture of love, the warmest hug, the richest custard, the cleanest shoes, the most perfumed clothes, but a mother is also the strongest slap, a punishment. severe, a bitter medicine, an injection that hurts because of that happy pride that made us sick with tonsillitis. We can always find a mother there, when we want her to be there and when we don’t want her to be there. A mother always gets involved in everything and always has the solution to our problems, because she knows everything. Moms are accusatory fairy godmothers, especially with dad when we have behaved badly, but they are also our pimps when they have to defend us from dad’s belt. Moms are fortune tellers, they always know where we are and what we are doing, even if we don’t tell them. They are the storytellers, the best in the world. If they wrote a book with the stories he invented, there would be thousands of versions of the same story, in that one, the one we liked the most, because it was his invention and every time we ask for it, another version emerges. A mom can be a rabbit or a wolf or a spider, but she is also our first friend. A mother is that woman with a perennial smile, who keeps all things in her heart for us and then meditates on them, who does not go to bed until we arrive, who asks a lot or doesn’t ask anything, who we always long for and who we always miss. come on. A mother is a teacher of always, the timely advice, the one that announces to us the evil that we can suffer before it happens, and when it happens we remember her words that we did not want to hear. But a mother would also like to be the shield that protects us from life’s misfortunes, the miracle worker that we could turn our lives into eternal happiness. A mother is the constant prayer of petition expressed in every moment of life for her children and gratitude for them to God. A mother is my mother.

Blessed are the grandparents:

Grandparents are those formidable beings that God has given us as a blessing and they are heavenly notes that infuse light and warmth into family life. Thanks to their smile, sweet and ready to bloom, they laugh at any of our jokes. Thanks to their soft hands they comfort us, heal, caress and welcome our sorrows of soul and body. Thanks to his tired feet and slow walking, his company becomes longer. Thanks to their willingness, we listen to stories with a wealth of knowledge. Thanks to their tired eyesight, they do not see the imperfections of their grandchildren. Thanks to their poor hearing, they do not hear our bad answers and angry expressions. Thanks to their superhuman patience, they admit and tolerate our misunderstandings. Thanks to their slow thinking, they easily forget our grievances. Thanks to their disposition, they solve the problems of their children, grandchildren and neighbors. Thanks to their measured actions, they are instruments of peace and a bond of unity. Thanks to their child-like abilities, they are the perfect company for grandchildren and neighborhood children. Thanks to his prayer, God always has his family in mind to keep them away from evil and guide them along his paths. Thanks to their lack of appetite, grandchildren can eat the tastiest foods and the biggest meals. Thanks to their experience, they are our teachers, friends and guardian angels.

Long live the special grandmothers:

Old age has come with the desire to destroy me, but I have stood firm and I will fight against it. The past that was gone took away without return and not content with that it took away my youth, leaving me without health, old, ugly and overweight. But I don’t believe in that, I’m not an ailing person, although I have several things, we all have problems, even if they believe otherwise, bunions and calluses put me in a dilemma. When I have any pain I feel a great oppression that originates in my heart and reaches my brain and despite all that I feel like a cannon. I think I’m whole and I’m going to prove it, although sometimes when walking my hip bothers me, to walk outside, I need a cane, to avoid slipping or tripping on the street and despite all that I feel like a cannon. I have bursitis in my shoulder, pain in a rib, and my knee fails because I suffer from arthritis. I have phlebitis in my leg and itching in my body and a tendon is shrinking which makes my neck stiff and despite all that I feel like a cannon. Tell me, I don’t want to realize that my face is old and when I pass in front of a mirror I try not to look at myself and even if I want to deceive myself, my face is an accordion, my body is a framework, but I fight to live and I want to repeat that despite From all this I feel like a cannon.

We manifest our faith in the loving family.

We believe in God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, who, expressing what they are, have put a heartbeat of love into the universe, splashing everything that exists with it. We therefore believe in the love that comes from God, clean and selfless; We believe in the love that unites man and woman in the feeling of life; we believe in human love that is mutually projected into the being of the child that is born; We believe in the family as a home for the coexistence of hearts that love each other and put on the daily table the bread of unity, understanding, tolerance and forgiveness; We believe in adolescent love that awakens timid and expectant; We believe in the love of couples that matures through mutual trust and knowledge; We believe in the serene love suffered and shared between spouses. We know that these loves are constant tasks and commitments of man, we believe that it is possible to live love honestly in this world today and we feel challenged to free it from slavery. We recognize that the love we live is often an empty word, but we believe that the discovery of a clean love is possible when there is a search in You, our God, who are love. Amen.

God the Father bless the dad and mom; Jesus Christ, Son of God, made man, bless all children; May the Holy Spirit restore energy and strength in the grandparents… And the blessing of God and peace descend upon everyone in the family. Amen.
