Allocution 5th Sunday of Easter, Mother’s Day
Thank you to everyone who makes this radio broadcast possible, in which we congratulate and pray for our living, sick, and deceased mothers and we entrust them to the Virgin Mary of Charity who is also our Mother.
The Bible, in the gospel of Saint John, chapter 19, verses 25 to 27, tells us how Christ gave us the Virgin Mary as our mother.
(Narration).
(Song)
In the friend of Jesus, present at the crucifixion, all of us, mothers and children, were represented. When Jesus said to the Virgin: Mother, behold your son, he was not only referring to the disciple and friend, but also to all of us.
Who is the Mother of Heaven that Jesus gave us?
An Israelite girl, extraordinarily religious, pure and fulfilling her duties.
He received a warning from God:
“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with your God and you will conceive and give birth to a son, whom you will name Jesus.”
This Jesus is the Savior Messiah awaited by God’s people for centuries. This Jesus IS THE SON OF GOD MADE MAN.
Learning that her cousin Isabel, now older, was pregnant with the boy who was to be John the Baptist, she hurriedly left Nazareth for Ain Karim (140 kilometers) to help her cousin.
Isabel received her like this:
“Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb. Blessed are you who have believed that what was told to you from the Lord will be fulfilled.”
And Mary praised and thanked God with a song that we call “The Magnificat,” because it begins that way in the Latin language.
Mary saw her Son born in a very poor way: in a cave.
He took him to the Temple to present him to the Lord God. There an old man said:
“Now, Lord, you can let your servant go in peace, according to your word, because my eyes have seen the salvation that you have prepared before all people. Light to illuminate the nations and glory to your people, Israel.”
With the pain and joy of every mother, but joyfully accepting the will of God, she saw him leave her side one day. He went to fulfill the mission of announcing the Kingdom of God.
Referring to her, Christ said:
“My mother and my brothers are those who hear the Word of God and fulfill it.”
The Virgin Mary saw her Son die on the cross. Christ said to her, who was next to the cross:
“Woman, behold your Son.”
Then, he said to the disciple who was next to the Virgin:
“Behold your mother.”
In that disciple of Christ, all the men of humanity were represented. From that moment on, the Virgin is our Mother.
“She learned the wonderful news that Christ had risen, had come back to live forever to take us to God the Father.”
She was in prayer with the apostles asking for the strength of the Holy Spirit for the nascent Church, charged with communicating the Good News of the dead and risen Christ, Savior of all men.
She is next to God the Father, together with her Son Jesus Christ, and from there she intercedes for us so that we follow Christ in this life and then, at the end of time, we can join her and all the saints to sing eternal praises. of God.
She continues to play her role as Mom, making herself present in many towns in one and a thousand ways. In Cuba we venerate her under the title of Virgin of Charity.
It also receives other titles, such as: Virgen del Carmen, Virgen de Loreto, Virgen de Regla, Virgen de Guadalupe. It is the same Virgin Mary under different titles.
(Song)
Today we want to congratulate all the pregnant ladies who carry within them a blessed fruit. Thanks to ultrasound they can see their children moving, sucking their fingers, and also feel their heartbeats.
If any mother keeps the ultrasound photo, show it to her children and tell what she felt when she realized she was a mother.
Dear pregnant woman and husband, the best thing that has happened to you is that from your mutual love a blessed fruit has come to life that is in your mother’s womb. This first joy of knowing that you are mom and dad will multiply week after week as you notice the growth of the blessed fruit and will reach its culmination when the sold fruit of love is born and new stages of joy, sacrifice and dedication will begin to the extent that Let the new creature grow in stature, wisdom and goodness. For the wonder of this blessed fruit we all give thanks to God, creator of love, life and natural, faithful and fruitful marriage.
We place this gift from God in the hands of the Virgin Mary of Charity, so that she can take care of him and show him the path, the truth and the life that is Jesus Christ and thus be happy in the midst of a family united forever.
The blessing of God the Father who made you mom and dad,
The blessing of Jesus Christ, our greatest happiness in this life and eternal life.
The blessing of the Holy Spirit, who can achieve a happy birth and a beautiful education, descend on the blessed fruit, on dad and mom, on the entire family and remain forever. Amen.
(Song)
Thank you mom for carrying me in your womb, being happy for being your blessed fruit and defending me from those who wanted to take my life through abortion. What happiness is yours, mine, daddy’s now.
Thank you, Mom, for your joy in hearing my nascent cry, for so many diapers washed, for so many hours next to my illness, for so many clothes washed and mended, therefore, time wasted in lines for my benefit.
Thank you mom for so many teachings of soft, demanding, corrective, educating, persevering words. Thank you mom for loving my dad and keeping me close to him and carrying out dad’s mission on many occasions.
Thank you mom for showing me Father God, the Virgin of Charity, the Guardian Angel; for baptizing me, for leading me to my first communion, for living Faith, Hope and Charity, more than with words, with your life.
Thank you mom for waiting for me sitting in an armchair during hours of the night with your teary eyes imagining that something bad would happen to my body and my soul.
Thank you mom for being by my side, supporting me, encouraging me, feeding me during my long hours of study and not allowing me to give up, but to continue.
Thank you mom for being a bridge of unity between my brothers and sisters and family members in conflict with me; for being impartial and in a thousand creative ways trying to get us to meet and thus we greeted each other, talked and settled many issues.
Thank you mom for enlightening and helping to build a beautiful family and for doing everything possible and impossible so that daughters-in-law and sons-in-law were true children of yours, so you never turned me against you or one of the people I love the most.
Thank you mom for always keeping the door of your house and your heart open, and knowing that I can go at any time and be received by a mother whose love grows more every day despite how much I have made you suffer and not pay attention to you. nor express my gratitude.
Thank you mom, your life is present in my grateful memory, in my heart made big by you, in my actions inspired by you.
Bless you, God the Father who created you, the Son who is the love of which you participate, the Holy Spirit who can achieve dreams greater than those you have. Amen…
My God, we ask your forgiveness:
- For the headaches we have caused our mothers.
- Because of the children’s ingratitude towards them.
- For not listening to maternal advice and turning a deaf ear to her words.
- For deciding important issues without consulting them.
- For not loving them as they love us.
- For not visiting them more frequently.
- For the times we have disappointed our mothers and have not fulfilled their beautiful dreams.
Sure that God forgives us, the Virgin forgives us, our mothers forgive us, mothers and children we pray:
Hail you, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you, blessed are you among all women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
(Song)
A great pain in a mother’s life is the death of a child.
Dear mother: We pray with you and accompany you in the pain of the death of your children, in prayer.
Saint Mary of Charity, who was at the foot of the cross where your son died, you know well the pain of mothers who mourn the death of their children, accompany them, console them and tell them that you have presented the good works of their children so that God reward them. Tell them that you have prayed for God to forgive sins committed because of human frailty.
Holy Mary, pray for these mothers so that, in the midst of pain, they may carry out the mission of faith and love that God has entrusted to them in the midst of their family, church and people until mothers and children are together again in the house of God. Father. Amen.
(Song)
We pray for our deceased mothers:
Good Father God, You are the only one who knows all the good that my late mother did for me and the family. I don’t know all that maternal good.
Reward her as only You can: with eternal life.
Forgive any sins that may have been committed, wishing the best for everyone.
Teach me to keep alive the inheritance of harmony and family unity that he bequeathed to all of us children and this inheritance grows and passes from generation to generation.
Saint Mary of Charity, you who are our mother, accompany us, now that we are missing the mother who gave birth to us and what she did with us, do it now in our life and wait for us together with our mother in the house of heaven .
Oh pious, oh most merciful, oh Sweet Virgin Mary.
We take refuge under your protection, holy Mother of God;
do not reject the supplications that we address to you in our needs,
but deliver us from all danger,
Oh always Virgin, glorious and blessed. Amen.
Now we turn spiritually to Jesus Christ, to the Virgin and to all those who are in heaven.
Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, intoxicate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, comfort me.
Oh, good Jesus! Hear me.
Inside your wounds, hide me.
Don’t let me separate from You.
From the enemy, defend me.
At the hour of my death, call me.
And command me to come to You.
So that with your saints I may praise you.
Forever and ever. Amen.
Amen.
On May 14, the Church invites us all to pray for the end of this pandemic, for the sick, for the deceased, for doctors and for health workers.
In our house, in front of the image of the Sacred Heart or the Virgin of Charity, let us pray one Our Father and three Hail Marys, the whole Church united in prayer, something beautiful will happen.
We thank God for all the mothers, the grandmothers, mothers twice, so many women who in one way or another have loved us and treated us like true children.
For all of them and their children the blessing:
May the blessing of Almighty God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, descend upon mothers and children and remain forever. Amen.
